All President Obama needs is our support.
Our real support.
I think President Obama is a good man. And that goes far with me, because too many of these politicians at every level of American government have been able to convince themselves that they are good people working for the good of the people. When really they’re not.
I really hope there isn’t some scandal looming in the shadows, but the President seems to have been as calm, collected and transparent as possible for a man in his position. Fuck the rhetoric and the muckraking, he’s doing his best to serve the needs of an entire nation.
Plus, he’s the coolest nigga on the face of this planet.
He’s got my support.
He did the right thing. But it was a brave thing because he had to take on the muscle of the oil industry, including the American Petroleum Institute, which is their association, their lobbying group. The members of Congress who had expedited this — trying to railroad it through under an arbitrary deadline — received $42 million from the oil industry, the fossil fuel industry, and they were riding it through.
It was because Obama had people power behind him, that he could do the right thing. You know, Bill McKibben, the great naturalist writer and his organization called 350.org, and the National Resources Defense Council brought thousands of people to Washington to show the President that he could do the right thing and they would have his back. Franklin Roosevelt said to the union guys, you know, ‘Make me do the right thing. Go out and build popular support so I can do the right thing.’ Lyndon Johnson put his arm around Martin Luther King and said ‘Dr. King, go out there and make it possible for me to do the right thing.’
…The issue in the (Keystone XL) Pipeline — there were lots of technical issues — but the real issue was the integrity of the political process. There was collusion between high government officials and the (oil) industry to get this through before the public had a chance to be heard. They stopped it, and they also gave the President the ammunition to fight the right battles. He could not have done it without people power. That’s one reason why Occupy Wall Street is so important right now: to build the support for change.

Support our President, and things will get done.
And BTW? We’re still the 99 Percent.

President Obama sings a line from Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together.”
So I already wanted a pair of Bordeaux Spiz’ikes. and now Spike Lee has given President Barack Obama a “Presidential Pack.”
So now I NEED a pair.

Section 80 Report (2011 Wrap Up)
This was a tough one to handle honestly. Who mattered, who didn’t (to us), and how could they go together? What was important, what was news, and what was funny? I think we did a good job on this video… but we do apologize for the blurry part at the end… and I don’t apologize for wearing my lion hat.
You will not miss the 18 minutes of your life watching this video!
Hear Us Media presents The Section 80 Report! This is our 2011 Wrap Up. We did it a little differently this time. Instead of talking about different events that happened, we talked about people who mad some kind of impact this year. The categories are:
- Enemies of the State
- Douchebags
- Trifling Ass Wominz
- Nigga Please
- HNIC (Head Niggas In Charge)
- Rest In Piece

“I don’t think it requires us to go negative in the sense of us running a bunch of ads that are false, or character assassinations,” Obama said, as reported by Univision.”It will be based on facts.”
“We may just run clips of the Republican debates verbatim,” he added.

Absolutely you have the right to protest and I’ve never said otherwise. It’s just very hypocritical that many of the protesters (including, by the sounds of it, you) are standing up for Obama who is The 1%. You want honesty? Stop ignoring the fact that Obama is who you’re protesting about. To put it simply, check out this picture.
But President Obama was simply a community organizer and a civil rights attorney for most of his career. Michelle was making more than him as a corporate lawyer. The only reason he is no longer paying off his student loans is because he’s President.
How much of a stretch is that? To have to become President to get your student loans taken care of. There are definitely benefits to being President afterward, but that’s after taking one of the most stressful jobs in the world.
That’s just me: I’m not protesting against the 1%. I’m protesting against the system that created the gap between the 99% and the 1%. There are many in the 1% that wish to maintain the status quo and they can eat shit, but the President would like to tax the rich.
The biggest issue I have is that he’s not more aggressive: treading the line that has wayyy moreee people on our side.

Some of the choice comments from that Fox “News” story
“Thug Trash!”
“Looking at the guest list looks like the bottom of a cesspool.”
“Line-up at the Police Station!!”“SHOULD HAVE HAD A STING AND THROWN THEM ALL IN GITMO AND HAVE THEM WATERBOARDED WHILE WE WATCH ON C-SPAN”
“Barefoot in the rose garden and hiphop in the east room. What a sh ame ful day when we turn the white house into a h o h o u s e .Well I guess he is one , may as well act like one”
“The Birthday Party was a wasted moment in hi-tech warfare. One misguided missile could have given us the “Hope and Change” we’re STILL waiting for, yes? HAHAHAHAHHHAHAHAAHAHAHA !!”
And all this rage directed toward President Obama isn’t because he’s Black.
OH. OKAY.
This is actually the top story on Fox News’ “Fox Nation” right now.
I’m more upset with the fact I’m not offended. Have I been so desensitized that I don’t find this offensive, that I think it’s slightly amusing?
They shouldn’t be doing this without opposition. They need to know they are wrong. And I need to be angry every time. Every fucking time.
