Marvin and I learn a lot of things about the world we live in and the world at large as we go through news in November.
You see there is a disconnect between what the Black community cares about (End of the Lockout) and what the rest of the world cares about (Occupy Movement).
Then there’s a connection between what the community and world cares about (Conrad Murray’s guilt) and what they DON’T care about (Oprah’s South African school).
Not passing any judgement, just noticing what issues get the most coverage on television and, more importantly, views on websites.

Protesters in Occupy Wall Street have learned of the injustices Blacks and Latinos have suffered for generations. What are they doing? What can we do about it?

I was aware that there are people who are so “passionate” about their beliefs that they forsake all common sense to prove their “point,” but it’s actually refreshing to encounter one in person.

I’ve been brewing on this particular subject for weeks now. With all the cases of police brutality occurring during Occupy Wall Street and abroad within the U.S., I’m glad those that believed that the police always protect and serve now realize they brutalize as well.
However, our mistrust of the police is only half of this story, stay tuned for Part 2…
