This was a tough one to handle honestly. Who mattered, who didn’t (to us), and how could they go together? What was important, what was news, and what was funny? I think we did a good job on this video… but we do apologize for the blurry part at the end… and I don’t apologize for wearing my lion hat.

Hear Us Media presents The Section 80 Report! This is our 2011 Wrap Up. We did it a little differently this time. Instead of talking about different events that happened, we talked about people who mad some kind of impact this year. The categories are:
Marvin and I learn a lot of things about the world we live in and the world at large as we go through news in November.
You see there is a disconnect between what the Black community cares about (End of the Lockout) and what the rest of the world cares about (Occupy Movement).
Then there’s a connection between what the community and world cares about (Conrad Murray’s guilt) and what they DON’T care about (Oprah’s South African school).
Not passing any judgement, just noticing what issues get the most coverage on television and, more importantly, views on websites.

Our coverage of the Libyan Revolution had to be my most favorite part. Somewhat insightful and mildly disrespectful.
We’re here to bring news from a new perspective: young, Black men that are constantly conditioned to believe we’re a danger to society. We want to keep our peers informed… but you can’t honestly expect us to give a fuck the way the rest of world does, can you?
